THQ Australia have recently had their Pre-E3 showcase of their upcoming titles, and while I was unfortunately not able to attend, I've still got a lot of footage and info from it. The footage is in the above video, which you can see in a better size on Youtube, but since I'm generous, have some game info and screenshots as well! :D
(More screenshots and videos may be coming shortly, I'll keep you posted)
Darksiders II
Awakened by the End of Days, Death, the most feared of the legendary Four Horsemen, embarks on a quest to undo Armageddon. Along the way, Death discovers that there are far worse things than an earthly Apocalypse, and that an ancient grudge may threaten all of Creation. Become the terrifying force which everything fears but nothing can escape. Death Lives, in Darksiders II.
Play Death – Become the most feared of the legendary Four Horsemen, able to destroy entire worlds and battle forces beyond Heaven or Hell.
Epic Universe – Unlike anything the player has seen before, delivered in the unique style of Joe Mad.
Player Choice & Customization – Thousands of weapon and armor items, three diverse specialisations, along with customizable Harbinger & Necromancer Skill Trees allow players to create their own Death.
Replay-ability – Side quests, vast open world, endless equipment combinations, Skill Tree customization and leveling system offer compelling reasons to play through Darksiders II again and again.
(Quick side note from me- the above fight between Death and War is in fact a boss fight in the game, but it's uncertain whether or not this is just a one-off scrap or if War will actually be a main antagonist of some sort)
Traversal – Death is a nimble and agile character capable of incredible acrobatic feats allowing the player to explore the world like never before.
Darksiders II will be releasing sometime in August 2012 for PS3, PC and Xbox 360, with a Wii U version being released at a later point.
Metro Last Light
Metro: Last Light is the hugely anticipated sequel to 2010’s critically acclaimed cult classic Metro 2033. Beneath the ruins of post-apocalyptic Moscow, in the tunnels of the
Metro, the remnants of mankind are besieged by deadly threats from
outside – and within.
Mutants stalk the catacombs beneath the desolate surface, and hunt amidst the poisoned skies above. But rather than stand united, the station-cities of the Metro are locked in a struggle for the ultimate power, a doomsday device from the military vaults of D6. A civil war is stirring that could wipe humanity from the face of the earth forever.
As Artyom, burdened by guilt but driven by hope, you hold the key to our survival – the last light in our darkest hour…

As Artyom, burdened by guilt but driven by hope, you hold the key to our survival – the last light in our darkest hour…
Experience thrilling combat with an exotic arsenal of hand-made weaponry against deadly foes – both human and mutant – and use stealth to launch attacks under the cover of darkness
Explore the post-apocalyptic world of the Moscow Metro, one of the most immersive, atmospheric game worlds ever created
Fight for every bullet and every last breath in a claustrophobic blend of survival horror and FPS gameplay
Next generation technology boasting stunning lighting and physics sets a new graphical benchmark on both console and PC
Wage post-apocalyptic warfare online, as Last Light delivers an intense, competitive multiplayer experience amongst the dark Russian ruins
(Another note from me- I'm a bit iffy about the multiplayer, a survival horror game isn't one I'd think multiplayer will work with. I think it'll most likely be typical FPS multiplayer, which is a bit disappointing)
Metro Last Light will be releasing some time in 2013 on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. In case you haven't played Metro 2033 yet, it's still on sale on the THQ store for AUD$7 until the end of May, so be quick!
